In this ongoing class, students will have the opportunity to learn more about the reading strategies of making connections, main idea/details, 5 finger retell and making predictions. All these skills will revolve around 4 food related texts which include: “Spork”, “Spoon”, “Straw” and “Chopsticks.” Before instruction begins, we’ll take a few minutes to do introductions, a brief icebreaker and review some simple class rules. I am both a certified elementary education teacher, and a 6 to 9 level Montessori teacher with over 20 years teacher experience.
