In this LIVE Lunar New Year Music Class, students we will learn traditional songs and practice the fundamentals of music making (singing, steady beat, rhythm, etc.). Join us to build your music skills, and create beautiful music memories while celebrating Lunar New Year! ______________________________________________________ C L A S S R O U T I N E - Welcome - Warmup: Rhythm & Solfege/Singing - Introduction to Lunar New Year & Year of the Snake! - Traditional Song: Gong Xi - Firework Movement Activity - Lunar New Year themed Steady Beat Practice - Instrument Play Time: drum (can use household item as replacement) - Lion & Dragon Dancing - Closeout ______________________________________________________ C L A S S T O P I C S: M U S I C E L E M E N T S - Rhythm (long + short) - Tempo (fast + slow) - Dynamics (loud + quiet) - Timbre (our 4 voices) - Pitch (high + low) - Musical Form (patterns in music)
