Students will learn history of the melody / dance - "Hava Nagila". It is very popular dance in Israel. The structure of the class: 1. Talking about dance, costumes, geographical location of Israel 2. Warming up - traditional warming up exercise to prepare body to move 3. Learning steps and arm work specific to the Jewish folk dance - "Hava Nagila" 4. Learning the composition 5. Conclusion of the lesson: dancers will be practicing performing of the dance with and without teacher. Memorization...
Students will learn easy steps of joyous dance - "Hava Nagila" ( "Let us rejoice"). The music for this dance is an Israeli folk song, traditionally sung at Jewish celebrations.
Kids would need some room to move safely. They should wear comfortable clothing for exercise and non slip sock or comfortable shoes. Water bottle for small water brake would be nice to have prepared. Handkerchief will be used as a prop for dance
