수업 소개
Does your child love to talk in the mornings? Or do they need a little help learning how to express themselves? Either way, The Breakfast Club will be a place where they can learn and grow. In this ongoing social club, students will learn how to socialize, express themselves, and make friends...all over breakfast! Children are encouraged to take this class during their breakfast (a time when most children are alert and ready for engagement). We will begin each class by singing our good morning song and going over class rules. Then we will jump right into the conversation. Each student will be prompted to tell the class how they’re feeling that day, what their plans are for the day/week, what they're looking forward to, and anything else they would like to share. The teacher will ask leading questions for students that need a little more encouragement. A coloring activity will be provided each class for students to work on as they listen to their peers. At the end of class, students will be prompted to show off their artistic work to share with the class. We will end the class on a happy note with a goodbye song. Classes are kept small for maximum student to student and student to teacher interaction. CLASS CANCELLATIONS: If a class has not met the minimum number of enrollments, it is subject to being canceled. A full refund is issued if the class is canceled. My name is Cheri Slaughter, and I am a life-long learner who is passionate about teaching children.
I teach preschool fundamentals, reading, and introductory Spanish and American Sign Language for ages 3-6.
I am TESOL certified and currently pursuing my Bachelor in Education. I have been working as an online ESL teacher for the past five years. To date, I have taught over 5,000 children online. For the past fifteen years, I have volunteered as a community outreach educator teaching reading, English, Spanish, and American Sign Language to children ages 3-18.
The philosophy behind my teaching is play-based learning that incorporates music and movement. I love to sing, so you will often find me singing throughout the class. I will encourage your learners to do the same!
Some fun facts about me are that I have lived in 3 different countries and learned to juggle as a kid from reading a book! I also love to cook and bake and have recently turned my skills for baking into a business.
