This is a class for bird lovers. It is a loosely structured class, centered around practicing our weekly bird drawing and giving students an opportunity to be in community with fellow bird lovers. 

As we begin to draw, we will also begin our time sharing about birds.  Students are free to ask questions about the drawing, share their drawing progress or other bird drawings. 
Students can discuss the bird we are studying that class, or feel free to discuss other birds.

This is a great class for students who want to improve their bird drawings through guided practice, and students who want to improve their ability to draw birds from life (field sketching.) The quick studies we do in this class, using the method of quickly blocking in basic shapes before moving on to filling in detail are great for nature journaling, drawing birds at a feeder or in your yard, as well as improving the basic knowledge of drawing birds in different settings.

It is not required, but I also have a one time Drawing Realistic Birds class, where students get in depth lesson on how to draw birds more realistically, as well as practice the method for drawing birds from life. It would be a great class to take before joining this weekly bird art club. I will refer to these technique briefly and use the methods we learn to do the bird sketches in each of these classes.
