Class 1-
Organisms depend on each other for nourishment to survive, and this joins them together in something called a food chain. The food chain describes how organisms in an ecosystem are linked together by what they eat. 
Are plants always at the bottom of the food chain? 
What would happen if we caught every last shrimp in the lake?
What would happen if one set of organism disappears from the food chain? 
How does this affect the other organisms in the chain?

CLASS 2-
What is an energy pyramid?
The energy pyramid is a model for how energy spreads through an ecosystem.

CLASS 3-
Ecosystem: A group of living things interacting with each other and their environment. 
Resources like space and water are limited. Ecosystems force species to make the most of what’s available.Their success depends on how effectively they can use the living and nonliving things in their habitat. This activity defines the species’ role, or niche, in an ecosystem.

CLASS 4-
A symbiotic relationship, or symbiosis, occurs when two species live in close contact with one another.
There are three main categories of symbiosis: distinguished by whether the relationship is harmful or helpful to one or both of the species.

CLASS 5- Biomes
What are biomes?
What are the different tLand Biomes on earth?
How does the temperature, rainfall and climate affect a biome?
Identify the location of different biomes on a world map.
Understand the interrelationship between environmental factors and the plants and animals within a biome.

I am offering this class because I am passionate about science and the natural world. 
I am always excited to observe things and try to find out why things work in nature the way they do. I am also excited about solving problems. I love to build prototypes to test my hypothesis and to try to find solution to a problem.
I have been in the field of education teaching science and technology for the last 30 years and have worked with all age groups of students. I have worked with students with different learning needs and differentiated my instruction based on their needs. I have also worked with Early English language learners and modified my pedagogy and methodology to suit individual needs.
