What caused the Great Depression? Why were so many countries impacted by the Great Depression? How did the Great Depression end? What was life like for those living during the 1930s? These are some of the questions that we will examine in this class. Students will learn about the events that led to the stock market collapse on Black Thursday and Black Tuesday in 1929. The impacts of this event would be felt worldwide by all classes of people. We will look at the experiences of people from...
Students will learn about the causes of the Great Depression. Students will understand what life was like for people around the world during the Great Depression. Students will make connections between the end of the Great Depression and the beginning of World War Two.
I have an undergraduate degree in History and a Bachelor of Education with special qualifications in History. I have specifically taken courses regarding the history of the 1900s and the Great Depression. I am willing to answer any questions prior to the course about what students can expect if they are concerned about the sensitivity of the topic.
