You’re in the woods and nightfall is approaching, you hear a howl. Should you be fearful? In this ongoing science and nature class, learners will be introduced to some interesting creatures which just happen to live in the woodlands of North America. We will discuss one creature each week and talk about how they are specially made for their environment. We will learn some interesting facts and have age appropriate activities and actions to help younger students remember what they have learned. Some of the animals we will discuss are raccoons, wolves, foxes, deer, hawks, owls, salamanders, wild turkey, and many more. Join us as we learn together about these woodland creatures.

TYPICAL CLASS ROUTINE:
Greeting/Get to know you time
Class time, including teaching of given topic and practice of that skill
Closing which may include a puppet, a game, or show and tell, depending on the type of class your learner is taking. My goal is to have every child smiling and excited to return to the next class!

When I'm not in the classroom, I love to spend time outside walking or working in my yard, reading, or spending time with friends. I also like to bake bread and make cookies.
