In this fun, ongoing PreK to Kinder math class students will practice early math concepts each week. We will be practicing number recognition, counting to 20, writing numbers to 20, sorting, simple addition and subtraction of small numbers to 10. Students will learn the concepts of equality, more, and less. They will learn by touching and counting. They will learn that each number represents a quantity, and how to quantify small groups of items, and add them. This class is ongoing and will...
Students will learn to count numbers 1-20, as well as practice writing the numbers and learn other early math concepts.
Students should have a pencil and paper as well as any printouts provided before class. Feel free to bring any snap blocks or other manipulatives to class to help with counting. Crayons and/or colored pencils are good too for some of the printouts.
