The class starts with an introduction to Ms. Teresa and Monkey Bob. Monkey Bob encourages and gives high fives! We will use fun pictures to come up with ideas on writing. We will also use games, short clips, and engaging activities. Some days, notes will be taken to help the child remember what they are learning. My style is to have fun while we learn. Learners will get to interact with me the entire time. 

Week One: Students will be taught how to make complete sentences. What is the meaning of the comma, period, question mark and exclamation point? Why do we make complete sentences? 
Week Two: How do I use adverbs and adjectives. The importance of the noun and verb. 
Week Three: Students will practice using nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives to make writing more engaging to the reader.
Week Four: The student will write paragraphs and finish a creative story. They will be asked to share their writing with me and other students. They will also be asked to read out loud sometimes. It is important to be able to read what you write. 
Students need to be able to write short words. Hold their pencil properly. They need to basically know how to write words, but not everything has to be spelled exactly right.
