Required: Share with me the student's game tag, so I have it for class.

Minecraft

*In needing to invite students to my world, I have to friend them first, then I can send the invite.  

- I need every student's game tag for Minecraft.  
- Students have 10 minutes to join class.  If no one is in class by that time, class is canceled for that week.
- At 5 minutes into class, all students will keep their microphones on, cameras off, zoom minimized, and play on Minecraft.

Please be sure to go over the rules with your child(ren).

Rules (may be updated throughout time):
- Each student gets 3 chances.  Once 3 streaks are hit, that student is kicked out of that meeting and withdrawn from the course without a refund.  If they are in any of my other classes during that time, they will be removed from those as well.  This is a must as I cannot enforce behavior that upsets other students, or no one would have fun.

- If a student received a strike or multiple strikes, the guardian will be notified, and whether they respond will NOT change the strike the student has.  The student's action is what got them the strike.  Please keep in mind that when I give a strike, it is because they did something intentionally, to be funny but wasn't, or broke a rule.  I do often just give a warning instead of a strike if I feel something they did wasn't that bad as in it didn't harm anyone or affect anyone else.  So if a strike is given, it was given for a good reason.

Kill/hit any animals = 1 strike
Cheat = 1 strike
One piece of armor on while invisible (or wearing an elytra) = 1 strike
No armor on while invisible = 1 strike
Move around while hiding = 1 strike 
Disrespectful/rude = 1 strike (depends)
Act inappropriate = 1 strike (depending on how inappropriate, more strikes may be applied)

Students are ONLY allowed to have ARMOR (shield counts), FOOD, or a spyglass in their inventory.  Nothing else.  If caught using something else, that's a strike, their inventory will be CLEARED, and they will be put in the "time out" box for one round.

If a student has a strike or under 3 strikes, they will be removed in 5 weeks so as long as they don't gain another one, then that 5 week will restart.

In the game:
There are four levels of the Hide and Seek game: easy, medium, hard, and all levels mixed.  We will do all levels in order from easy to all.  Flying is allowed to help students get around faster as a hider and a seeker.  The seeker will count to 20.  Hiders are NOT allowed to move around while hiding.  Once a hider is found, they become a seeker and help find other hiders.

There is a "time out" box that students will be put in if they break any of the rules.  They will only be in the "time out" box for that current round, then are able to play once the round is over.  That means they'll only be in there for about five minutes, then let out.  Please keep in mind that if they are in the "time out" box, that means they broke one of the rules, which means they will receive a strike as well.
