Imagine a Minecraft world filled with colorful, friendly creatures—just like the Pokémon you love! In this class, you'll become a Pokémon Trainer and explore a vibrant land, encountering and catching all sorts of creatures, just as you would in the Pokémon games. Your journey begins with your very first Pixelmon. You'll venture across beautiful landscapes, lush forests, and even find them near lakes or in hidden places. My learning goal for this class is to help students become better communicators, problem solvers, builders and team players. Throughout each lesson, I aim to make my students flourish in their self-esteem by guiding them to act out what they think is best through working with other class members and NPCs within the game.
To assist students whose first language not be English, I hold a TEFL certificate. This means I can assist your kid to become better speakers of the language through varied communication techniques. These include and are not limited to; reading, writing, listening, pronunciation and simple English Grammar.

For this class, you will need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft (Java Edition). You'll need two devices: the first for the Zoom call (to talk) and one to play Minecraft (Java Edition). Zoom can be downloaded and used on smartphones (iOS/Android) or PC, and Minecraft (Java Edition) can be played on another device (Windows 10/11 PC or Mac). And you will all need a FREE Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online. Please visit https://account.microsoft.com/ for more details on how to sign up. The FREE CurseForge app will need to be downloaded (Windows 10/11 PC or Mac): https://download.curseforge.com/ Each student will need to install my unique mod pack in order to play the mods in the secure server.

Disruptive students who have been warned more than once will have their accounts temporarily suspended from the server until the next class. Nonetheless, it is not confined to unacceptable actions including foul language or harassing other students. You will need a copy of Minecraft Java and a Microsoft Account to play Minecraft online with other students. You will also need the Curseforge app to download the mod pack and to launch the modified version of the game. Please note: No account is needed to sign up with this app or for future use.
