예술을 만들어 보자: 음악에 맞춰 그림 그리기! (14세에서 18세)

When listening to a piece of music, most people tend to feel something. Music can inspire strong emotions, or can even make the listener picture something specific. In this ongoing class, we're going to explore the visual side of music, and make paintings based on what we hear. 

Each class will follow the same loose structure. Learners will be shown a portion of a piece of music, and allowed to listen to it without interruption for a few minutes. Then, we'll talk about what it makes us feel, and whether or not the composer or musician had any intended imagery when making the piece. Finally, learners will be allowed to paint what they choose based on the music we have heard. 

Students are encouraged to use acrylic or watercolor paints for class, but ultimately will be allowed to make art using other mediums should they be inspired to. Throughout class, they'll be encouraged to ask questions regarding technique and style, though the class isn't focused on technique instruction.

Music genres will range greatly, from classical music, to electronic music, to jazz, and beyond. Upcoming classes include the following pieces:
