수업 소개
This class is on going, it is a weekly drop in course. Each lesson stands alone and is not progressive. Enrollment can start or stop at any time. Students will be provided with a new inspirational topic each week, this will be introduced via a google slideshow containing photographs, illustrations, vocabulary lists and questions to ponder. Students are asked to make sketches of their creative ideas for around 25 minutes, then use this to inspire a short creative writing assignment also...
- Students will learn: - to express their ideas using sketches. - to use their art work and imagination to inspire their creative writing. - to build vocabulary, learning to use new creative words and detailed description within their writing. - to self edit and improve their own work. - to will practice reading aloud with confidence. - to offer positive comments about the work of others.
Students are encouraged to have the following items available for each class. All you require is something to draw on and something to write and draw with. Colors can be used in whatever medium your child prefers (markers, pencils or paints). I record all my work in a sketchbook keeping my writing and drawing all together however this is not mandatory. Students may prefer lined paper to write on. This can be kept in a separate book or glued into the sketchbook next to the art work.
