In this one time class students will learn how to make nut-free macarons. We will use an easy to follow recipe to make the macaroons and butter cream filling. I teach via a "tell, show, do, feedback" model that is similar to the gradual release models used in schools. We will use a whisk attachment or hand held mixer to mix our ingredients, use food dye to add color to our macarons. Recipe will be provided in the Outschool message board all purpose flour, vanilla/almond/hazelnut extract (your choice) baking powder, granulated sugar 2 large eggs, butter, milk mixing bowl, measuring cups/spoons handheld or stand mixer with beaters & whisk (or a handheld whisk though this will take longer) 2 piping bags or ziploc bags
