There are nearly 1,000 different Pokémon right now, but we all have our favorites! In this class, We'll look at a different Pokémon each week and we'll draw it step-by-step together. In this class, learners will be taught shape recognition, color recognition, and basic drawing/coloring skills. Social learning is also a key subject in this class, and online class etiquette (raising hands, taking turns talking, etc.) will be taught. Each class will follow the same loose guidelines, where we will: - Take a look at the Pokémon of the week and discuss - Breaking it down into simple shapes - Learning to draw it step-by-step - Adding color The Pokémon we'll be taking a look at fall on the following schedule: Week of January 7: Spinda! Week of January 14: Bonsly! Week of January 21: Mantyke! Week of January 28: Toedscool! Week of February 4: Foongus! Week of February 11: Grubbin! Week of February 18: Swirlix! Week of February 25: Munchlax! Week of March 3: Bunnelby! Week of March 10: Snubbull! Week of March 17: Omanyte! Week of March 24: Oshawott! Week of March 31: Bounsweet! Of course, learners are more than welcome to suggest their favorite Pokémon, too! #creative

Students will learn how to draw their favorite Pokémon by breaking them down into simpler shapes and details, and reinforce color identification skills to color their Pokémon in accurately.

Pokémon is a family-friendly game that is rated E for Everyone. Students will be viewing Pokémon content via screen share, where the instructor will be presenting a quick Google Slides presentation showing different pieces of Pokémon art. Learners will not need to use this resource, as they will only be viewing content via screen sharing.

In order to participate in class, learners will need the following supplies: - Pencil(s) and a good eraser - Paper - Coloring supplies (colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc.)
