This class will spend time on some of the more common word families and the skills children learn in class will help them learn how to blend more words! This class will help children learn how to read and write CVC words using word families. They will work on blending sounds together, making rhyming words, spelling common CVC words, and reading CVC words in sentences.
I am a licensed elementary teacher with a Master's degree in Literacy. I have many years of teaching experience in classrooms and as a reading teacher.
-A printout will be sent to enrolled parents/students each week to bring to class. If you are unable to print, please bring paper/pencil and parent support may be needed with writing letters. -whiteboard/whiteboard marker -Crayons/markers, pencil -Children are also welcome to bring along a favorite little car, figurine, or toy that can be used to help with blending. -optional: slinky
