Students will enjoy making an eye-catching hexaflexagon (tri-hexaflexagon) puzzle craft while learning basic geometry and artistic principles in this STEM/STEAM-inspired class. This class will be taught using Google Slides, video clips, discussion, and hands-on learning. We will cover basic geometry by looking at and exploring the properties of a hexagon, we will also cover design and artistic principles as well as the history of the hexaflexagon. Students will improve their understanding of geometry and the terms that are used to describe geometric shapes, while also learning more about design and art principles. Students will also grow their creative problem-solving skills, as well as their hand-eye skills and their communication skills.
