We all encounter trying circumstances that test our limits from time to time. I am trained in the Zones of Regulation, and have completed all the required courses. I currently teach Grade 2 in a school classroom setting and I have been teaching the Zones of Regulation to my students for the past 10 years. My students love learning about the Zones and we use the strategies on a daily basis. The Zones framework provides strategies to teach students to become more aware of and independent in controlling their emotions and impulses, manage their sensory needs, and improve their ability to problem solve conflicts.
You may need to print off a handout/worksheet for the lesson. You will find them posted in the classroom.
