Let's get kids excited about learning to read while being silly and having fun in a Silly Monster word family phonics class. In this 5 part course, kids will learn 10-word family sounds and how to read and write words that include those sounds with a silly monster through games, songs, crafts, and giggles. 

 will post videos of myself teaching silly monster two-word family sounds. Students will learn the letter combination sound, how to read words with that sound and to write words containing that sound by watching silly monster, and myself play games like the cup game, I spy, writing in food, etc, as well as completing these activities themselves.

This class will be very interactive and include additional sources including worksheets, hands-on activities, and links to games and songs to continue their learning throughout the week.

Hello, my name is Jacki, and I am thrilled that you have chosen me to be a part of your child's educational journey.

I have been a homeschooling mom for more than a decade and have taught other children, formally, in a classroom setting as well. I love to work with elementary-aged students in all subjects, including English, Science, Math, and History.

I have a passion for teaching! I believe that children learn best in a fun and entertaining environment, which is why you will often find me singing, dancing, and making a "fool" of myself. 

I believe that every child is intelligent, it's my job, as a teacher, to bring that quality out into the open for everyone to see.

In my spare time, you will find me traveling the world with my family. We have been to 48 U.S states and plan to travel abroad soon. I'm always up for an adventure.
