Learning to read is an exciting time for students. We love helping them learn sight words, word families, and short sentences that allow them to start viewing themselves as readers. This class is designed to help students learn to read and write word families (CVC ), sight words, and practice beginning reading skills (short repetitive sentences). Wil we do not specifically provide grades, we are happy to provide our anecdotal observations along with concerns, or suggestions.
Students should know the alphabet along with letter sounds. We are now moving into learning to read by putting the letters and sound together to form words and sentences.
