Tinkercad & Intro to Blender: Beginner 3D Modeling for Kids

Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use online platform where your child will learn to create 3D models. This class focuses on modeling, helping kids bring their artistic ideas to life by designing characters, objects, and environments in a digital space. It’s a great way to introduce them to basic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts while fostering creativity in a fun and interactive way.

What students will learn:
Navigating the Interface: Moving around and understanding Tinkercad’s workspace.
Basic Shape Creation: Creating and manipulating simple 3D shapes.
Combining and Modifying Shapes: Grouping, cutting, and aligning to build more complex models.
Scaling and Rotating: Adjusting size and orientation to refine designs.

If learners are interested, I’ll introduce them to Blender, a powerful 3D modeling software used by professionals. We’ll explore the basics, like navigating the interface, simple modeling, and how it compares to Tinkercad. This gives students a head start in more advanced 3D design!
