Students will learn how to draw figures and poses using basic shapes and lines to plan and build their sketches. They will learn which shapes are best to use and how to utilize them. An under-sketch taught with the "Mannequin Technique" helps achieve correct proportions for your figure or character. We will then proceed to draw the fullness of the figure, adding finer lines on top of the under-sketch. Students will learn the structuring of a basic pose that shows both the front and back sides. Depending on time and efficiency, if more time is available, students can ask about extra topics to learn. I will demonstrate how to complete this lesson using the digital program FireAlpaca. This program is not required for students. Students can use any pencil, paper, or digital art program to complete this class, which focuses on learning to sketch and draw poses step-by-step. Please bring a ruler to this class.

I am a passionate artist who has been studying multimedia arts and various art practices since 2016. Besides school, I attended additional lessons at Lascaux Academy from January 2015 to March 2017, where I gained knowledge in digital media and programs, hand sketching, drawing concepts, and diverse design types. From August 2018 to 2020, I took Illustration and Design 1 & 2 classes that covered different media and design techniques.
