수업 소개
An introductory class that combines a high-energy Bollywood Dance Choreography & Cultural learning! My approach to teaching is very interactive. I break down steps in a way that is easy for learners to relate to things they see & activities they do everyday. I also provide cultural context to the moves to make learning more meaningful. *Parents, I welcome your assistance at the beginning of our class to help your child set up for class with the microphone settings. Once we begin the lesson, microphones will be off to reduce ambient and background noise so that the dancers can hear with more clarity.

Basic coordination, rhythm, memory, understanding of elements of Indian culture and how they are related to the dance movements, pronunciation of basic Hindi (Indian language) words.

I'm a passionate & enthusiastic teacher with a unique approach to teaching Bollywood Dance to kids of various ages & diverse learner needs. I strive to help children explore the world through the joy of creative movement by developing age appropriate, high quality, theme-based content presenting Bollywood dance in a cultural context.
I was born & raised in a small town in Rajasthan, India and started dancing when I was 3! I speak English, Hindi, and Tamil. I am trained in an Indian classical dance form "Bharatanatyam" and I'm excited to bring my authentic knowledge on the various genres of Bollywood Dance to learners on Outschool! I have several years of experience teaching kids from ages 3 and up!
My professional experience includes running a dance + culture kids program in after-school programs + dance studios, performing & Interacting with multicultural audiences all over Chicago.
