We will learn about Ukraine in this one-time class. We will start the class by learning different facts about Ukraine including its location, capital, flag, language, and other basic information. We will continue our quest of learning about Ukraine by reading about the country from a child's point of view. We will learn what a normal day for a child is in Ukraine, from what they eat for breakfast to what they do after school. Following this we will look at a short presentation and look at different pictures from Ukraine. Students will have a few different crafts they can do to help solidify what they've learned in this class. The war in Ukraine is NOT discussed in this unit. Please note - there are not any live lessons for this class. Contents: Introduction What I Think Life in Ukraine is Like... Learning about countries in general can be a sensitive topic due to differences in religion and different cultures. We will be looking at countries from a secular point of view, making sure to look at the countries from multiple different perspectives around the world. The war in Ukraine is NOT discussed in this unit.

For the class students will need to print the pdf that is sent with the class. They should also have crayons/markers/color pictures, glue/paste, and scissors for the lesson.

Students will receive a PDF packet each class with all of the information for class. There are readings and activities for France, as well as crafts.
