수업 소개
Learners will practice their multiplication facts 6-12 by playing a group game/activity for the first half of class to practice and warm up our multiplication minds. Then the second half of class will be spent partnered up and playing Battleship Multiplication! This game was always a student favorite in the classroom. Multiplication is the basis of so many other math skills down the road in their education and mastery of their facts will make more advanced math topics easier to learn. Math phobia often begins in elementary school but can be avoided or reversed when students see that practicing math can be fun! This is why I prefer to teach through games and activities. Students should have some practice of multiplication facts before class but this class can help them grow to mastery of their facts. Students will be placed in breakout rooms on zoom with other students and will be expected to behave appropriately.

Students will need to print out their battleship game board which will be posted in the classroom once enrolled in this class. You can put it in a clear sheet protector and use dry erase markers to reuse the same game board class after class or print out a new sheet each time. students will need 2-3 colors of pens or pencils to write on their game boards.
