Using The Science of Reading approach that is multi-sensory, sequential, incremental, and explicit. Students work with letter names, letter sounds, digraphs, blends, word families, and more! I want my students to enjoy reading and become confident readers! Learners practice encoding, decoding, and dictation of letters, sounds, and words as we work towards mastery! Students learn to write as they learn to read, and the two skills are seamlessly integrated with handwriting instruction. Ms. Rachel has been an educator for the last 15 years and started teaching on the Outschool platform in January of 2021. She spent five years teaching special education as a paraprofessional in the public school system. In that role, she worked with kindergarten through third-grade students, helping them find their best ways to learn in all subject areas.
