Welcome to Just For You English Class! This class builds English speaking confidence! It is a fun, interactive, one-on-one class for beginning English Language Learners. In each lesson, your learner will practice using English words and sentences with a certified teacher. Classes are designed to improve students’ English pronunciation and conversation skills about things from their daily lives. Students will learn the English vocabulary to describe themselves, and the world around them. Some topics include, foods, animals, home and school, neighborhoods, sports, hobbies, and other things they like to do. They will learn English phonics and sight words to help them read English words and sentences on their own, and practice grammar skills to help them speak in complete English sentences. Students will learn proper pronunciation of English letters, sounds, words, and sentences and will practice these skills through engaging conversations and guided writing practice. I look forward to seeing your learner in class! My attendance policy is as follows: If you know your learner will miss an upcoming class, you can notify me 48 hours in advance and we can possibly reschedule or the following policy will apply: (from Outschool website) Refunds for 1-on-1 Classes For 1-on-1 classes, families may receive a full refund until 48 hours before each class, or within 24 hours of purchase for the initial class purchase only. In the rare case of a teacher cancellation of class, I will offer you a refund or attempt to schedule a free make-up class. Each class and learner deserves my best teaching, and this policy helps to ensure that. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hello, I'm Ms. Heather! I live near the mountains in Idaho and I love reading, gardening, and hiking. But most of all, I love teaching and helping learners grow their skills and confidence!
Education:
* Certified K-8 Teacher
* Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies
Experience:
* 2 years teaching ESL online
* 1 year teaching/assisting -1st grade
* 2 years supporting students in Kindergarten. (Standards-based small group and 1:1 teaching)
* 8 years supporting students in Special Education K-8
* 3 years homeschooling
* 20 years volunteering as a church youth leader
My Classes:
* Kindergarten Learning Circle - Fun reading, math and social time (offered as both a one-time class and a 1×week ongoing class). I teach 1-2 new letters/sounds each week in both formats.
* Just For You K-2nd Reading Tutoring - One -on-one class for beginning readers (Ongoing- choose 1× or 2× a week)
* Just For You ESL - One-on-one class for English language learners. (Ongoing - choose 1× or 2× a week).
* Number Bond Math classes- Various party-themed classes that introduce number bonds for addition and subtraction. (2 day class).
*Kindergarten Check In- 1:1 practice of Letters/ Phonics/ Writing learners first name (one time class).
* I Love Math! - Small group class ( 1-3 learners) -ongoing 1x per week class to practice kindergarten number sense, number writing, 2D and 3Dshapes, addition, subtraction, and much more.
