- Students will study 1 of the main writing systems of Japanese - Katakana. Students will write their name in Japanese Katakana. Students will be familiarized with Japanese Katakana vocabulary words. Students will realize that they already know some Japanese words (they just didn’t know it!) Students will start their journey of learning Japanese in a fun and exciting way!
Teacher Lynn (リン 先生) completed her Master’s degree in Oita, Japan. She was a teaching assistant for Japanese middle school, high school, and university in-person classes in Japan. She has been living in Japan for 7 years (since 2017). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Japanese language, but fell in love with Japanese culture and discovered the passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She has been a private Japanese online tutor for over 5 years (since 2019).

Frequency: 3-6 throughout the classDetails: SStudents will answer questions on the Outschool platform classroom forum to assess their understanding. Self-assessment activities will also be provided. Links for the Review on Memrise and Quizlet, and Game on Kahoot will be provided by Teacher Lynn リン 先生.Certificate of Completion

Parental guidance is recommended, but not required for the 3rd party websites: Youtube, Memrise, Kahoot, Quizlet, and Lexilogos. Login may be required for the websites. No additional costs to use the websites.
Teacher Lynn リン 先生 will provide links of the private videos and learning sources. Homework worksheets will also be provided on the Outschool platform classroom forum.
