This 4-week course will cover the basics of speaking Japanese, including basic sentence structure, the difference between the 3 alphabets, and core vocabulary/phrases for basic conversation. No previous knowledge required! We will also incorporate fun facts about Japanese culture in between rounds of language study.

Here are the topics to be covered each week:
Week 1: The Basics & Introductions
Week 2: Common Phrases
Week 3: "I like..." Seasons, Colors, etc.
Week 4: Travel Phrases

When learning a language, even more important than hearing a word is using it! We will practice basic words and phrases by both listening to and using them. Students will practice by roleplaying together and participating in verbal pop quizzes throughout the class. At the end of each class, students will receive an electronic handout reviewing all the terms we learned for that lesson.
