In this exciting class, learners will use chemical reactions, concepts of life science, and the scientific method to predict how matter interacts with other matter. Is it Magic or Science? I am a middle school and high school math and science teacher with nine years of experience. Additionally, I am a homeschooling dad of 14+years who has four kids that are four different types of learners. I have the privilege to teach many subject areas, but chemistry is my favorite as it applies to all other areas of science. My opinion is that if a student understands major chemical concepts, other sciences become more clear. I hold a MS and BS in the natural sciences.

If the students desire to complete experiments along with me, parental supervision/oversight is suggested. All supplies are safe and common household items, however, the sequence of events are important for experiment success and fun. Students and parents are advised that common latex balloons and household chemicals may cause sensitivity or allergy in some learners or individuals. Parental supervision and awareness of any allergies or other issues is encouraged.
