What will be taught? This course is designed to introduce students to the Reading and Writing sections of the Digital SAT. Students will learn to understand the structure of the test, develop effective strategies for answering different types of questions, and practice with real SAT questions. Class structure The course is structured over 8 weeks, with each week focusing on specific aspects of the Reading and Writing sections of the SAT. Each week includes reading materials, practice exercises, and interactive activities to reinforce learning. Students will complete weekly assignments and practice tests using the Bluebook™ app, College Board and Khan Academy resources. How will you teach? The teaching approach combines direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities. Each week, students will receive instructional videos, slides, and reading materials. They will also engage in practice exercises and quizzes to test their understanding. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is supportive and interactive. I aim to make learning engaging by incorporating a variety of teaching methods, including lectures and practical exercises. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in discussions to deepen their understanding. How much will learners get to interact with you and each other? Students will have opportunities to interact with me through weekly discussion forums and optional live Q&A sessions. By the end of the course, students will have a thorough understanding of the Reading and Writing sections of the Digital SAT, effective strategies for tackling different question types, and the confidence to perform well on test day.
