Students will be practicing basic Spanish vocabulary. We will meet on Thursdays. There won't be class on March 20th or March 27th, 2025. Week of February 27, 2025 - Mis Colores/MyColors Week of March 6, 2025- Dias de la Semana/Days of the Week Week of March 13, 2025 - El Abecedario y Numeros 1-10/Alphabet and Numbers 1-10 Week of April 3, 2025 - Mi Familia/My Family Week of April 10, 2025 - Mis Sentimientos/My Feelings Week of April 30, 2024 - Los Animales/The Animals Week of May 7, 2024- La Granja/The Farm Week of May 14, 2024 - La Escuela/The School Week of May 14, 2024 - La Cocina/The Kitchen Week of May 21, 2024 - El Jardín/The Garden Week of February 8, 2023 - Las Partes del Cuerpo/The Body Parts Week of February 15, 2023 - Saludos/ Greetings Week of February 22, 2023 - La Playa/The Beach Week of March 1, 2023 - Los Opuestos/The Opposites Part I Week of March 8, 2023 - Los Opuestos/The Opposites Part II My philosophy is that learning should be engaged and fun. I try my best to engage the students in the learning and expose them to different topics that they might show interest in. I use different methods that could include but, it's not limited to pictures, practice pronunciation, play some games and a song. I make the class very interactive. We'll play some Kahoot, students will be encouraged to ask questions about the subject and start to have a conversation with a Spanish native speaker. Students will be encouraged so they can gain confidence in speaking the language. Students will be encouraged to practice what they learn at home.
학습 목표
In this class the students will learn basic vocabulary in Spanish. I will use pictures, song and games to practice the different material learned in this class. I will encourage the students to practice saying the words when they see it around them. Students will be encouraged to practice formulating sentences using the material they learn that day in Spanish so that they can grow more confident with the language.

We´ll be playing a game in Kahoot. Kahoot is a third-party tool approved for use by Outschool. There is no need for the student to create an account. I will send a code for them to join my game or we will play from my screen and they can answer verbally.

These materials are optional: A pencil and some lined paper. Some kids like to write what they see or what they are learning for better retention.

My name is Mrs. Dela Cruz and I have an Associates in Social and Behavioral Science, and an ADT in Psychology. I have worked with kids in different settings, grades and have taught different subjects. I am a Spanish native speaker.
I love to engage kids in learning. My philosophy is that if they connect to the learning, they'll remember it and maybe even do some research on their own.
