There will not be homework, however, there will be a "Challenge" at the end, that puts together everything that we've gone over as a class. Throughout the lesson, I will explain how to do ONE specific thing, and give examples for the students. Then, they will try on their own to do that ONE thing. So we will do a well-known teaching principle: I DO, WE DO, YOU DO. I do it first, then we do it together, then YOU do. In the end, there will be a challenge combining everything learned in the course.학습 평가
Learners will be accessed by a review challenge, in the beginning, going over everything that they should already know from either previous knowledge or from taking my previous course.보고계신 지문은 자동 번역 되었습니다
수업 소개
In this course, we will dive in a little bit more with Python basics. We will learn about the Type() function, which lets you see the specific data type you're working with. We will also learn how to convert to float, integer and string data types. There's also the len() function, which lets you know the length of a string. Then we will focus on doing Math with Python! We will be finding the Min and Max, as well as doing addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and two new "coding math" operators: the modulus and integer division! Students will then have a challenge where we put together everything we've learned to complete a problem. Students will be learning via Zoom. I will have access to view their screens and help them with their code. Throughout the lesson, I will explain how to do ONE specific thing at a time, for example, we will learn how to use the len() function and calculate the total amount of characters in a string and then we are going to calculate our full names and then concatenate this into a sentence after converting the integer to a string. Students will communicate with the instructor and each other via Zoom. We will take turns sharing our screens and our code. The class is approximately 1 hour, with 20 minutes given for the "Challenge" at the end. Please note, if everyone completes the challenge BEFORE time is up, we will review, but the class may finish a few minutes early.

The modulus finds the remainder of a division problem. The integer division returns a whole number closest to the left of the number line. (It doesn't round up.)

학부모 가이드
In order to take this course, students will need to create a FREE account on replit.com. This is a free website that will allow students to create their own python script to practice hands-on coding examples as they follow along with the instructor. This is where the majority of the lesson will take place, besides zoom's chatbox feature.
수업 자료
All students should sign up for a FREE Repl.it account prior to the start of class. Also, parents should make sure they can set up a free Zoom Account as well.
