Every week little learners will be introduced to a different musical instrument from my extensive instrument collection. Alongside common instruments like guitar, piano, or drums, we will have the chance to learn about more unusual music makers like the hurdy-gurdy, gamelan, and bassoon! In each session we will learn about different methods of sound generation (strings, brass, woodwind, percussion, electronic), how different notes or sounds are produced on the instrument, and...
The following supplies are recommended: Rubber band harmonica activity. --2 popsicle sticks, 3 medium rubber bands, 2 strips of paper. Tin can shaker. --empty (and clean) tin can, balloon and rubber band (or tight fitting lid), beans, beads, or other small solid objects to add into the shaker). Tissue box guitar. --empty tissue box, 3-6 larger elastic bands, pencil. Paper tube trombone. --medium size cardboard tube (paper towel rolls work well), sheet of paper, tape.
