Procreate Dreams 앱을 사용한 iPad 애니메이션 소개

In this self-paced video class, students will be introduced to Procreate Dreams app for creating animation on the iPad. This new app (as of November 2023) is a wonderful tool that allows students who love to draw and create to make animations on their iPad. After an overview of the app, students will get started by making a short simple animation project of a moving snow person. This project will let students learn step-by-step some of the animation features and tricks in this complex app. Once they have completed the assigned animation, they will have an optional enrichment challenge where they can use the skills they have learned in another animation using their creativity. 

Please note: This is NOT a live instruction class. All instruction in this self-paced class will be done in the Outschool online classroom using informational posts, pre-recorded video tutorials, and online discussion. This class is perfect for students who would like to work independently at their own pace or who are in a different time zone than the instructor. Students will be able to pause and rewatch the videos as they work on their projects. classroom.

This class will focus on a few specific animation skills in Procreate Dreams, but will not cover everything that the app can do. I hope to develop more animation classes that will cover different skills in the future.

Class Requirements: 
*An iPad with the most recent version of the paid Procreate Dreams app downloaded in advance.  https://apps.apple.com/us/app/procreate-dreams/id1595520602
*A separate computer or screen (not the iPad they are using for Procreate Dreams) to watch the video lesson in the Outschool classroom while they work on their iPad.
*An Apple Pencil or Logictech Crayon (Another stylus may work, but may not have the same pressure sensitivity as the Apple Pencil.)
*It will be helpful if students have had some experience drawing in Procreate, but this is not essential as the drawing tools will be covered. 

Overview of the Class:

Unit 1: Introduction to Procreate Dreams: overview of app features, drawing tools, handout with labels

Unit 2: Snow Person Tutorial: drawing, tracks, keyframe animations to move/warp/distort/rotate/filters

Unit 3: Discussion, Feedback, Enrichment

For this one week long self paced class, teacher help and feedback is provided for the one week time period of the class. Teacher will respond to student questions and give feedback for projects by the end of the next day during this one week period. Students can still access the lesson videos for one year, but teacher interaction will not be available.
