인도 요리 소개: "달(렌틸) 프라이와 지라 라이스"를 요리해 보자

Hello All, this is Seema and I learned cooking/baking in my late 20s and since then, I have been trying and experimenting with new recipes in cooking and baking vegetarian/vegan dishes.  My love for cooking also helps in bringing out the creative side of me.  My love for teaching kids comes from a regret that I did not get an opportunity to learning cooking/baking at early age which could have made a huge impact on adopting to a healthy lifestyle in early adult years.  It is true that kids who learn to cook at early age most like to eat healthy, home cooked meal as adult.  

With that in mind, my mission to introduce young kids to cooking/baking in a form of creative art while also educating them on a science of cooking/baking of which is inspiring and fun.  My specialties are Cooking Indian, variety of fusion food, and baking. To encourage interaction and engagement, the class will be hands on where they will make the recipe from start to finish, learn fun facts about the recipe or ingredient and showcase their creativity in a final product.

On a volunteer basis, I have shared my knowledge regarding dessert recipes with teenagers and young adults of my own extended family. As my relationship with these kids grew, we explored a variety of vegan recipes as well. Using collaborative and communicative methods, I not only taught youth but learned from them as we designed recipes and improved on them using large family gatherings as our taste testers. As a result of these efforts, many parents and their own networks approached me in regards to teaching their younger kids (ages 4 to 13) of which I happily accepted and continue to do so during these unprecedented times via weekly Zoom sessions. I have received positive feedback from parents but I can truly say that interacting with these kids and witnessing their growth and creative genius has been the most gratifying work thus far.
