Students will be immersed in the science of space travel to learn about the energy it would take to travel faster and farther. The class includes many visuals to help students understand the different sources of energy and how they compare. Students will learn and use physics concepts such as gravity, energy, motion, and light throughout the lesson and will make conclusions about the possibility of interstellar travel.

This course is on a specialized topic within the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. The course will stray away from complex mathematics to be more accessible to students of all mathematical levels.
