국제관계 시뮬레이션

Have you ever wondered what it's like to be in charge of an entire country? To make decisions that impact millions of people? Welcome to international relations!  In this class, each student will represent a different country.  Each class, a news brief will be presented, and students will have to react and make decisions for their country based on what happens in the news.  They can form trade deals, make secret alliances, implement sanctions, and even go to war!

During the first meeting, students will select which country they would like to represent.  They will take over as the leader in all capacities such as administration, legislation, military, defense, treasury, culture, education, and more.  To do so, the students will spend time doing research to discover their countries' current stances on a number of issues.  The teacher will be available to help the students do research, to answer questions, and present the format for the simulation that will begin on day 2 of class.  

The following classes will all begin with a news briefing with different events that happen in their simulation world.  Some events could be natural disasters, territory disputes, aliens making first contact, stock market crashes, drone strikes, terrorism, and more.  The students will spend class formulating their responses to the news.  They will have the ability to make public statements to the rest of the countries, form alliances, have secret meetings, make trade deals, go to war, and any other political action that they can think of that would be in line with the behavior, history, and culture of their country.
