대화형 워크숍 - 5단락 에세이 쓰기의 기본

In this one-time interactive class, I will go over everything a student needs to know to successfully write a quality five paragraph essay.  We will discuss brainstorming and the prewriting stage.  We will learn/review how to write a quality introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion.  We will also discuss how to best utilize transition words and descriptive, supporting details.  

This class will be interactive and engaging.  Students will learn through looking at a sample essay and discussing each part together.

For the last 10-15 minutes of class, each student will have a chance to pick a topic of interest and begin brainstorming and prewriting.  Some students may have time to actually start writing their essays.  I will check in with each student to help each student with this and ensure that each student is on track. 

After class, I encourage each student to write his or her own five paragraph essay.  Students are welcome to send me their essays upon completion, so that I can give personalized, detailed feedback on their essays.
