Kids reach an age when they become fascinated with their bodies and the bodies of others. This course will help them better understand the similarities and differences between tissues, organs, and organ systems. 

In this 8 week introductory course, learners will take a look into the human body and reveal all the hidden wonder that’s underneath the surface. This hands-on class will use lectures, slides, discussions, videos and activities to discover the "big picture" and develop an understanding of our body systems. Learners will identify structures, functions and locations in the body.  

My classes are designed to be creative, hands-on and inclusive. I believe children learn best by doing and creating.  This class is designed to utilize techniques for auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners. Learners will use household items to create models of different organs to help aid in understanding.  They will also create a life size model of their body and identify where each system is inside their body.
