This is an ongoing class and learners are welcome to join and leave as needed. Each week will be a different topic with sentences to practice speaking, fun songs to sing and dance to and different games to play. This class if for learners who are learning English as a second language. This class is good for learners with a beginner to intermediate level of English. The classes are live and recorded so you are always welcome to go back and watch the recording throughout the week to practice what you learned. Below is the list of topics that will be covered each week: Week of 9/19 - Living room/bedroom Week of 9/26 - Bathroom/Kitchen Week of 10/3 - Routine Week of 10/10 - Fun Time Week of 10/17 - Going to School Week of 10/24 - In Class Week of 10/31 - Playground Week of 11/7 - Going Out Week of 11/14 - Places Week of 11/21 - No Classes Week of 11/28 - No Classes Week of 12/5 - No Classes Week of 12/12 - Jobs Week of 12/19 - Time Week of 12/26 - Hobbies More topics to be announced.

Hi there! My name is Ms. Amanda and I am an experienced online teacher with a background in childhood education and Spanish. After graduating from the State University of New York at Fredonia, I taught first grade in Arizona for two years before moving to North Carolina to open a business with my husband. In North Carolina, I taught GED and ESL classes at a community college and first grade for two more years.
Despite my love for teaching in the traditional classroom setting, once my son was born, I decided to stay home and pursue my passion for teaching online. Since then, I have been staying at home with my two young children while teaching online classes with OutSchool and teaching ESL classes to children in China. I also worked as a content producer for a children's literacy app.
I have a passion for helping children learn how to read, which is a crucial foundation for lifelong learning. As an educator, I believe in instilling a growth mindset in my students, where they are encouraged to embrace challenges, learn from their mistakes, and ultimately reach their full potential.
