Building strong fine motor skills is critical for new preschool and kindergarten students as they participate in learning activities using scissors and glue sticks. As a former kindergarten teacher, I have witnessed the stress and frustration that inexperienced students have using scissors in class. In building fine motor skills and learning proper scissor usage, students will enter school with confidence and will be ready to learn without unnecessary stress.
