With over 20 years of experience in emergency services, I firmly believe that everyone should take this class. Did you know that 9 out of 10 families are not prepared for a catastrophic event? In this one-time class, your student will learn how to survive emergencies that could devastate a city's infrastructure. Known as E.L.E.s (Extinction Level Events), apocalyptic events, or catastrophic scenarios, we will focus on surviving long-term power outages by relying on our own supplies and knowledge. This class is ideal for "preppers" and anyone interested in disaster preparedness. Your student will learn how to survive: E.M.Ps (Electromagnetic Pulse Weapons) Pandemics Economic Collapse/Depression Nuclear Strikes If time allows, we’ll also cover: Acts of Terrorism War Civil Unrest (Riots, Crime Sprees) In this course, your student will understand what each disaster type is, how to prepare for them, and the best actions to take in the event of one. Although the topic may seem daunting, the class is designed to be educational, not anxiety-inducing. I have taught this class to students aged 4-18, including those with special needs and students on the spectrum. Only one parent has mentioned a slight amount of anxiety for their student, though they still rated the class as excellent. Stay calm, stay confident, and be prepared. In this class I will teach your student about extinction level events, that are non natural disaster related. I teach from a logical and non scary manner, and always emphasize that the likelihood of any of these events happening are extremally low. I actually personally think that the chances of any of these events happening are not going to happen in any our my students lifetime, however it is definitely important to be prepared.

With years of experience in emergency management and disaster preparedness, I bring extensive knowledge in crisis response and planning. I served as a firefighter/emergency medical responder for 10 years with the Cy-Fair Fire Department in Houston, TX, and worked with the U.S. Coast Guard for nearly 5 years, focusing on law enforcement, search and rescue, and logistics.
During my time with the U.S. Coast Guard, I was part of the District 7 Hurricane Emergency Assistance Response Team, helping families prepare for and recover from hurricanes. Additionally, I have served as an incident commander on multiple disaster responses and have completed nearly all ICS (Incident Command System) courses.
