The human voice is an incredible instrument. This class will teach the elements of creating voice over characters. Each learner will get the opportunity to explore the different aspects of voice control to develope a variety of voices. We will practice pitch, cadence, and emotion and other techniquers used to control the voice. I am a seasoned improv actor and director. I enjoy teaching voice characterization for students of all ages. As a member of Toastmasters for over ten years, I have developed an evaluation technique that is focused on positive reinforcement of learners skills while also giving them the encouragement to improve.
A working microphone and if possible headphones. It can be a mic/headphone type headset. Aquiet and distraction free place. We will be doing voices and it is really important to be able to hear each learner clearly. Room temperature water is also suggested.
