Time management is a life skill that can be learned and practiced. It is an important skill that sets us up for success in all areas of our lives. In this one time class students will learn "how to" writing as well as tips and hacks to manage their time. We will discuss how to use calendars, planners, and journals to keep track of what we need to accomplish in a day, a week, and a month. We will brainstorm some ways that we can avoid wasting our time and ways that we can fit in the things that we enjoy doing most. Students will work on their own paragraph describing a plan for their best day. I will share my writing as well so that students will feel comfortable sharing. Finally, we will share our writing together in order to get some ideas on how we can manage our time better.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile! I love learning and I love to inspire kids to get excited about learning! I have a degree in Psychology and I am certified to teach both English and English as a Second Language. I have been teaching for fifteen years. I taught middle school English, Reading, and Creative Writing in the public school system for eight years, and I have been homeschooling my two daughters for eight years. I have been teaching online for four years and I love it! My writing has been featured in Seeing the Everyday magazine.
I strive to make my classroom an inviting, safe, and happy place where all learners can grow. My goal is to offer a well-rounded Language Arts program taught in a fun and encouraging environment. I teach a variety of classes focusing on reading comprehension, writing, poetry, and oral language skills. I also offer one on one tutoring as well. I have something to meet the needs of all types of learners! I even have life skills classes and some fun pet classes where we learn how to care for bunnies, cats, gerbils, and hamsters! I can’t wait to meet your child!
When I am not teaching, I love to read, write, research best practices of teaching, crochet, play board games with my family, and take family vacations to learn more about nature, science, and history.
