Each week, students will be guided through a step-by-step directed drawing of an animal. Once our animal has been completed, students will watercolor paint their project. During the painting portion of the lesson, students will be provided the instruction to utilize different painting techniques while being encouraged to add their own creative details. This class values the process of creating art over the final product. Building confidence, exploring creativity, and having fun are the main objectives of this course. No drawing or painting experience necessary. All learners are welcome to join this weekly club with fun, relaxing, and engaging lessons! Students will learn to draw a different animal each week. Animals are organized into series by habitat. We will be painting the following animals in the weeks listed below. Safari Animal Series- Week of March 2nd: Energetic Elephant Week of March 9th: Lovely Lion Week of March 16th: No Class- Spring Break Week of March 23rd: Merry Meerkat Week of March 30th: Zealous Zebra Week of April 6th: Wonderful Warthog Week of April 13th: Happy Hippo Week of April 20th: Jolly Giraffe Week of April 27th: Fabulous Flamingo Week of May 4th: Radiant Rhino

Watercolor paints A cup of water A paint brush A paper towel A Sharpie or black marker - No washable marker please :) Oil pastels or Crayons White watercolor paper - Preferable but not required :) or thick white paper
