In this class, students will learn how to draw and watercolor paint a Folk Art Sun! Designed with beginners in mind, this pre-recorded video class is suitable for ages 6-9. 

The teaching process used for the drawing portion of this class is a step-by-step method that will inspire students into creative action! This process involves observing, following instructions, and creating until each student is happy with the outcome. 

Students will learn basic drawing and watercolor painting techniques and apply these techniques to complete this project. This Folk Art Sun art class is designed to give beginner artists the skills they need to jump-start their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative thinking. 

Supplies and materials needed for this class: 

+watercolor paper (square)
+set of watercolor paints
+paint brush
+black oil pastel or crayon
+pencil with an eraser
+circle template
+cup of water
+paper towel

Time needed for students to complete this project is approximately 30 minutes. This is a self-paced video class where students may proceed through the art lesson at their own pace. Video may be paused at any time. There will be no live meetings, however, I will be available for questions and gentle encouragement. 

It is important to me that your learner's experience is a positive one. My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, joyful, and fun. I encourage students to add their own details to their masterpiece to make it their own. I'm open to any comments, questions, or feedback that you may have.
