In this 8 lesson course we will build on our knowledge of the Elements and Principles of Art! I will be demonstrating the projects and techniques in a series of step-by-step videos & slideshows.  Students will explore a variety of media.

Lesson 1: Transformation Drawing
In this lesson we will create an artwork were one object transforms to another in a series of four small drawings!

Lesson 2: Notan Papercuts
This lessonwe will create contrast in creating a Notan design.  Notan means "light/dark".  In this artwork we will use our knowledge of symmetry to create an amazing paper cut design!

Lesson 3: Van Gogh Sunflowers in Oil Pastels
This lesson we will use of observation skills to draw like Vincent Van Gogh.  Students will draw upon our knowledge of proportions to make our pieces more realistic.  In this project we will also look at creating a textured mark when drawing.

Lesson 4: Foil Relief
This lesson will create a sculptural relief artwork.  Using foil and yarn students will create a raised design to be finished in marker.

Lesson 5: Color Harmony Painting
This lesson students will learn about the different color harmonies.  After learners will create a painting showcasing all the harmonies together.

Lesson 6: Negative Space
This lesson we will learn about negative space.  Learners will create a drawing demonstrating this.

Lesson 7: Collage
This lesson learners will create a story in collage.  We will use cut paper to create.

Lesson 8: Foam Printmaking
Students will create a series of prints.  We will create a design on foam and students can print using ink.
