The Triwizard Tournament is returning to Hogwarts. Students from two other schools of magic will be coming to Hogwarts to join in the competition. Will the tournament be all in good fun? Or is there a more nefarious plan at work? In this class we will read the fourth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If your learner has not read the first three books in the series, scroll down for a link to those classes! During class, we will discuss what the students...
Students will improve their critical reading skills, specifically focusing on personification, hyperbole, order of events, problem and solution, using context clues, comparing and contrasting, and similes ad metaphors.

Students will read 3 chapters of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire per week and will complete a short assignment. The reading and assignment should take about 2-2.5 hours per week.수업 외 주당 2 - 4 시간

Harry Potter does contain themes of good vs evil and could be scary for more sensitive learners. Students will be provided with links to Google Forms for their homework assignments. Learners do not need a Google account to fill out the form.
